Big 12 referee Mike Defee is the talk of social media when he officiates a college football game, and with LSU-Miami being the primetime game on Sunday night, social media is buzzing.

Defee became a legend during the 2017 College Football Playoff final, because he’s jacked.

โ€œI was completely taken aback,โ€ Defee told SB Nation via phone interview in 2017. โ€œThe very nature of what we do is, weโ€™re just trying to be invisible, so that no one knows youโ€™re really there. And to have had that happen, I was just blown away.

โ€œMy appearance, the way I dress, has been consistent for a number of years. And Iโ€™ve worked a lot of big games. I worked the Rose Bowl prior to the national championship, I worked the semifinal of the Cotton Bowl: Alabama and Michigan State. Itโ€™s just funny in todayโ€™s society, all it takes is one person with Twitter, or whatever, and all of the sudden, it gets out there.โ€

And out there he is; Defee is a star.

When the LSU-Miami game started, social media started buzzing about Defee.
