Report: Starting OL Andrew Thomas absent from Georgia practice

As the Georgia Bulldogs gear up for a game against Middle Tennessee this weekend, they continue to do so without a starting offensive lineman.

After exiting the South Carolina game with an injury to his ankle, sophomore LT Andrew Thomas has missed this week’s practices so far.

As you can see in the tweet below, true freshman Cade Mays is filling in at left tackle for the time being:

It’s still too early in the week to speculate about Thomas’s availability this weekend, but if his ankle doesn’t recover, he could return in Week 4 at Missouri.

For now, though, Mays will try his best to hold down the spot. As a 5-star signee, these could be valuable reps for the young lineman.
