Ole Miss and Kent State are tied 7-7 at halftime, and we may have to wait a bit before the teams come out to start the second half.

According to Ole Miss, lightning has been detected in the area, and no, they aren’t talking about the Kent State Golden Flashes.

Officials say that they will aim to start the second half at 1:07 PM CT, giving the standard 30 minute delay due to lightning. Storms are in the area, so we will see if this delay is extended or if they will be able to start on time.

With how Ole Miss has been playing thus far, maybe it’s a good thing they have some extra time to talk it over.

Kent State QB and Auburn transfer Woody Barrett racked up 165 yards through the air in the opening half, and even though he was sacked six times, he’s been able to keep the Golden Flashes on the field for the majority of the game, recording 15 first downs opposed to Ole Miss’ eight.
