Wednesday is a sad day for the Clemson family, as former RB CJ Fuller, who was a member of the 2016 national title team, has died.

Details are not known at this time, but Fuller was the player who had a big kickoff return that set up the Tigers’ win over Alabama.

WSPA first reported the news of Fuller’s passing, citing officials from his high school:

Former Clemson running back CJ Fuller died, according to Easley High School officials.

Fuller was a running back at Clemson through last season after starring at Easley High School.

Fuller was reportedly awaiting trial for an armed robbery incident along with a pair of former Tigers.

Our thoughts go out to Fuller’s family in this tough time.
