LOOK: Auburn fans call for Jarrett Stidham to be benched amid struggles vs. Tennessee
After coming into the season with high expectations, Auburn QB Jarrett Stidham has regressed in a major way this fall.
Now, his Heisman hopes are dashed and his status as a potential first-round NFL Draft pick is in the tank, too. On Saturday, the Auburn offense has continued to struggle against a Tennessee team that many aren’t that high on.
As the Tigers trail the Vols 27-17 midway through the third quarter, many Auburn fans have had enough. As you can see below, many Tiger fans are calling for Stidham to be benched and for backup QB Malik Willis to get a chance.
Here are some of the many reactions on Twitter during Saturday’s home game vs. the Vols:
Put in Malik Willis! Stidham is killing us.

Please bench Stidham. He’s costing us points and games. Absolutely unacceptable.

So when do you bench Jarrett and give either Malik or Joey a chance? The amount of turnover from Stidham is gettin ridiculous

Atleast Willis can run around and create something. Stidham just takes sacks and fumbles

How do you keep playing Stidham?

The worst part about this is Stidham is so trash that no NFL/Canadian team with a brain would take him so we are stuck with him next year.
