If confidence is an important factor in football games, then Jesse Palmer thinks Georgia could be in trouble against Florida on Saturday.
The ESPN analyst said during a Tuesday appearance on The Paul Finebaum Show that he believes the Gators have more confidence heading into the rivalry game between top-10 teams. Considering the No. 7 Bulldogs suffered a devastating 36-16 loss at LSU before their bye week, Palmer might be onto something.

No. 9 Florida, meanwhile, has won six straight games, including a 27-19 victory against No. 4 LSU on Oct. 6. The Gators trailed Vanderbilt 21-3 on the road the following week but managed to emerge with a 10-point win to stay in contention for the SEC East crown.
Palmer pointed to a few other factors that should give Florida confidence, like its ability to establish a strong running game in recent weeks.
How much will confidence matter in this high-stakes division battle? We’ll find out when the Gators (6-1, 4-1 SEC) clash with Georgia (6-1, 4-1) at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday in Jacksonville.
