Barry Odom weighs in on rumors connecting him to Louisville job

On Sunday, 247sports reported that there was “mutual interest” between Missouri coach Barry Odom and Louisville for the Cardinals’ opening at coach.
However, that doesn’t appear to be the case.
Rivals.com’s Gabe DeArmond reported on Monday that Odom said he has “zero interest” in the Louisville opening.

The Cardinals fired coach Bobby Petrino two weeks ago, which created the opening atop their staff.
Odom has been Missouri’s coach since 2016, but he has deeper ties to the program. He played for the Tigers from 1996-99, served as a graduate assistant in 2003 and was an assistant on their staff from 2009-11 and in 2015. He also held an administrative position from 2004-08.
The only time during his college coaching career that Odom hasn’t been with Mizzou was his stint as Memphis’ defensive coordinator from 2012-14.
In three years as Missouri coach, Odom is 19-18 with a 10-14 record in SEC games. This season, the Tigers are 8-4, and they went 4-4 in conference play.
