Fans rip Playoff committee for ranking Georgia between Oklahoma and Ohio State
When the College Football Playoff field was announced, there was a bit of a head-scratcher from the No. 4 to No. 6 spots.
Two-loss Georgia, fresh off a narrow defeat to No. 1 Alabama on Saturday afternoon, ended up at No. 5 — just behind one-loss Big 12 champ Oklahoma and one spot ahead of one-loss Big Ten champ Ohio State.
It seemingly would have made more sense for Georgia to be ranked No. 4 or No. 6, but splitting the two Power 5 champs was a bit odd.
As you can see below, fans of Ohio State and Georgia were flabbergasted by the way the top-six played out on Sunday:

So Georgia is ahead of Ohio state but not Oklahoma? ??

It makes NO SENSE to put Georgia between Ohio State and Oklahoma.
They’re better than Ohio State, but less deserving and this field was clearly the 4 most deserving teams.

The disrespect for Ohio State is unreal. I feel like them and Georgia should have been in over Oklahoma and Notre dame. But to leave them at 6? Unreal. The committee really messed up today. #expandto8

Not making the final four I get. Georgia at 5 and osu at 6? Granted doesn’t change anything but annoying. Oh well. Rose bowl here we come. Also enjoy the bama Clemson final because Norte dame and Oklahoma are gonna be beaten solidly in the semis

Georgia got screwed…. way better then Oklahoma… is it because the two losses… I thought it was the 4 “BEST” teams. Obviously not @CFBPlayoff

I don't want to hear about Georgia because they lost two games and don't matter. OSU would beat Oklahoma. Maybe easily.

5 Georgia over a 6 OSU is a travesty..what a joke
Can’t wait to watch Oklahoma get destroyed by Alabama. Expand it to 8 teams and let it play out from there

Georgia sandwiched between Oklahoma and Ohio State is confusing.
