LSU LB Michael Divinity announces he will return to Baton Rouge for his senior season

While LSU awaits the final decision from another linebacker, 2018 standout Michael Divinity has officially announced his decision to return for one final season in Baton Rouge.
The junior linebacker had a breakout season for the Tigers in Dave Aranda’s defense this fall, playing in 12 games and making 11 starts for the team. When the lights were brightest, Divinity shined the most this fall, as he had big games against Georgia, Mississippi State, Texas A&M and in the Fiesta Bowl against UCF.
Divinity finished the season with 54 tackles, 9.5 tackles-for-loss and four sacks, along with one interception — which came against Mississippi State. He also had at least one tackle for loss in seven games this season.
LSU still awaits the decision of Devin White, but for now, knowing Divinity is returning is big for LSU’s defense that projects to once again be the strength of the Ed Orgeron’s team down in Baton Rouge.
