Toni Harris has been told no many times in her career but her love of the game continues to push her to new heights.

People have tried to hold her from playing football with the boys in little league and middle school and that was before she was diagnosed with cancer. Despite all those detractors, Harris has just become the first female skill position player to sign a scholarship to play college football.

The safety for East Los Angeles College signed with NAIA school Central Methodist University in Missouri this week, where she will continue to play on defense.

While she’s already reached one milestone, she has another goal in her sights that’s even bigger — she wants to play in the NFL.
