Super Bowl guarantee? Eddie Jackson says Bears ‘plan on taking this whole thing’ in 2019

The Chicago Bears went 12-4 during the 2018 regular season and looked like a team to be reckoned with in the playoffs.

However, a brutal missed field goal cost them a victory in the first round of the playoffs, as they lost 16-15 to the Philadelphia Eagles.

This year, the Bears are using that as motivation, as well as some other things. Former Alabama S Eddie Jackson, now a Pro Bowl defender with Chicago, said this week that the Bears plan on winning it all this time around (via the Chicago Sun-Times):

“Everything — how short, and how far, we came,” he said. “From the losing record to the winning record. How short we came, with the first-round playoff game with the field goal. Right now we just want to build off everything and let that be the fuel to our fire. We plan on taking this whole thing.”

Obviously, that’s every team’s goal at this time of season, but Jackson and the Bears will be one of the teams that actually have a chance to win the Lombardi Trophy this fall.

Jackson finished with six interceptions last year and returned two of them for touchdowns in 2018, so he’ll be a big part of any success the Bears have this season.
