Prior to the 2019 season, the Detroit Lions released former Florida DB Teez Tabor after a disappointing start to his NFL career.
The one-time second-round pick then cleared waivers, making him a free agent. Now, he finally has a new team.
On Monday afternoon, it was reported that the San Francisco 49ers had added Tabor to their practice squad:
The #49ers have signed former #Lions second-round CB Teez Tabor to their practice squad, source said. A high-upside signing for SF. … FA LB BJ Bello has been added to the #Packers practice squad, too.

Tabor recorded 39 total tackles in his first two years in the league, but has yet to snag his first NFL interception.
Still, with only a practice squad spot at stake, this is a no-brainer move for the Niners. If Tabor shows he can still be the player he was at Florida, he could end up making an impact in San Francisco.
