Kelly Bryant has been dealing with more than just recovering from a hamstring injury in recent weeks.

On Monday, the Missouri quarterback told the media that he got hit in the knee during the Tigers’ game against Florida on Nov. 16. Then, he had a lot of swelling last week and had to get the knee drained prior to this past Saturday’s game against Tennessee.

Despite that, Bryant still played against the Vols, going 16-for-28 for 166 yards and a touchdown.

“He’s got an incredible amount of will and fight,” Missouri offensive coordinator Derek Dooley told the media, according to Dave Matter of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. “It’s hard to know he’s hurting.”

In his first — and only — season with the Tigers, Bryant has passed for 2,215 yards, 15 touchdowns and six interceptions in 10 games.

However, it’s been a disappointing year for Missouri, which has lost five straight games after its 5-1 start. That includes its 24-20 home loss to Tennessee this past Saturday.

Bryant and the Tigers close the regular season with a road matchup at Arkansas on Friday at 2:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
