Slapgate update: Superdome officer reportedly does not want to press charges against Odell Beckham Jr.
Looks like Odell Beckham Jr. is free to continue his slapping ways.
That’s because the Superdome police officer that was slapped on the behind by the former LSU standout receiver following the Tigers’ national championship victory in the team’s locker room is reportedly not interested in press charges against Beckham, according to NOLA.com.
The New Orleans Police Department still has an arrest warrant issued for Beckham but that may be changing following this news.
The Cleveland Browns, who currently employ Beckham, released this statement following the news of his arrest warrant.
“We are aware of the incident and have been in touch with Odell and his representatives on the matter. They are cooperating with the proper authorities to appropriately address the situation.”
If you missed what exactly Beckham did to cause all the fuss, check out the video below:
Odell Beckham slapped a police officer's ass while the dude was working and then taunted him to his face. Fully endorse this arrest warrant out of principle. https://t.co/EIRNpKRO8g
