Former Arkansas running back Chase Hayden elected to transfer for the 2020 season.

Hayden will be a graduate transfer, meaning he’ll be eligible immediately in 2020 and will have 2 full seasons to play. The Collierville, Tennessee, native has set 3 official visits, according to Rivals.com’s Woody Wommack: Houston (March 20), Indiana (March 27) and Tennessee (April 4).

Hayden’s father, Aaron, is a former Tennessee running back who played 4 years in the NFL with the Chargers, Packers and Eagles. Hayden played for the Vols from 1991-94, rushing for over 2,000 yards and 12 touchdowns.

The younger Hayden was a 3-star prospect exiting high school and was ranked as the nation’s No. 4 all-purpose back. He rushed for 616 yards and 5 touchdown during his time at Arkansas. He committed with the Hogs when Bret Bielema was the head coach. Hayden then played under Chad Morris, and he elected to transfer before Sam Pittman and his staff could take over the team.

The Vols have been active in the NCAA transfer portal, and it could land another one in the Vols legacy.
