The Kentucky Wildcats have become a powerful football program under coach Mark Stoops.

Now, they’re drawing in some top assistants, and on Monday, it was revealed that a former NFL defensive coordinator was joining Stoops’ support staff.

Per Kentucky Sports Radio, Greg Manusky will join the staff as a quality control analyst:

Greg Manusky will serve as a quality control assistant for Stoops’ defense. Manusky spent the last three seasons as Jay Gruden’s defensive coordinator for the Washington Redskins. Since beginning his coaching career in 2001, Manusky has coached defenses, primarily linebackers, for the Redskins, Indianapolis Colts, San Diego Chargers and San Francisco 49ers.

Manusky has plenty of experience, clearly. We’ll see if he ultimately carves out a bigger role on Stoops’ staff or if he moves back to the NFL ranks.
