As the 2020 NFL Draft quickly approaches (less than a week away now), the Jacksonville Jaguars are looking to rebuild, it seems.

That process could involve trading RB Leonard Fournette, the former LSU star who has clashed with Jaguars coaches and management in recent months and years.

On SportsCenter on Sunday morning, ESPN insider Jeremy Fowler said the Detroit Lions are a team that could potentially be interested in the talented running back (via 247Sports):

“The Jaguars are completely resetting here,” Fowler said. “They’re looking to shop good players to get more draft picks for this year and next. They’ve got 12 picks already for next week, so they are loaded up. And Fournette presents some challenges because it’s not the production — he’s a good player, he will have a market — his talks will intensify in the coming days leading up to the draft.

“But there are some character concerns. He’s had some issues with coaches there in Jacksonville. So I’m told, from people who have worked with him, if you go into a new locker room, there could be some problems, potentially.

“But he should have a home because you look at teams like the Detroit Lions (that) come to mind — they looked for running back help in free agency, it didn’t happen. Now, there’s a lot of good players in the draft, but they could go for a bruising back like Fournette to help (veteran quarterback) Matthew Stafford.”

Fournette was the No. 4 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. What could the Jaguars get in return for him now?

We’ll see if they decide to move him before the draft starts on Thursday.
