The Cheez-It Bowl is hard to kill.

The popular postseason game is making a comeback after previously announcing the company did not plan to continue sponsoring the college football bowl game from Chase Field in Phoenix. The Cheez-It Bowl in Phoenix ran from 2018-19.

With the Camping World Bowl sponsorship deal expiring in Orland, the Cheez-It Bowl is taking over the open slot starting this season.

The Cheez-It Bowl will continue to host an Atlantic Coast Conference or Notre Dame team against a Big 12 Conference team in late December each year. The Cheez-It Bowl Bowl airs on ESPN.

“We’re proud to partner with Cheez-It, one of the boldest and most creative sponsors in college football,” said Steve Hogan, CEO of Florida Citrus Sports in a prepared statement. “Their commitment to creating an uncommon experience will add new flavor to ‘the best bowl trip in America’ here in Orlando. We’re excited about the impact that bowl season’s official snack will bring to our community.”

While the SEC is unlikely to ever be featured in the game, at least one of the more popular early bowl season games will remain in existence for the time being.
