Former South Carolina CB Jaycee Horn is an intriguing draft prospect as he appears to have a solid resume entering this spring’s NFL Draft. But it also helps when the presumed No. 1 overall pick, Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence, vouches for your competitiveness.

Lawrence responded to a tweet that Horn originally sent to promote a video series that follows his path to the NFL.

“I can attest to it – He’s a dawg,” Lawrence tweeted.

Horn first jumped on NFL radars when he had a big showing against Auburn, but then he excelled in a Pro Day workout which turned heads. NFL Network analyst Daniel Jeremiah said he believes Horn could be the first cornerback taken in the draft.

“This is a very dynamic football player on tape,” Jeremiah said, per 247Sports. “You see the explosiveness and, man, did it translate into this pro day. He jumped out of the gym, ran sub-4.4, and then the field workout, in talking with folks who were there, very fluid, very smooth, very easy mover. When I see these workout numbers and I match it up with how competitive he is on tape. And if you’re wondering about that, just look up the highlights from the Auburn game and see for yourself what he did there. He’s in the mix to have a chance of being the first corner off the board.”
