After playing in 70 games from 2014-18, Jordan Matthews appeared in only five games over the past two seasons.

Matthews played in two games for the San Francisco 49ers last season, recording no catches. Matthews is unsurprisingly currently a free agent. Matthews, however, hasn’t given up on the NFL. Turron Davenport of ESPN shared that Matthews has put on 30 pounds and is trying to land a roster spot as a tight end.

In his time with the Philadelphia Eagles, Matthews had 274 catches for 3,288 yards and 22 touchdowns. We’ll see if Matthews is able to find a new opportunity as a tight end.
