LSU big man Trendon Watford didn’t hear his name called in either round of the 2021 NBA Draft last month.

However, the versatile forward landed an NBA contract as an undrafted free agent on Tuesday.

As you can see below, the Portland Trail Blazers announced via Twitter that they’d signed Watford to a 2-way contract:

Watford is certainly excited to get his pro career underway. He took to Twitter to call this the best day of his life:

A 2-way contract means the player is under contract with both the NBA squad and its G League affiliate, with salaries fluctuating depending on which team he’s suiting up for.

Watford played in 28 games for LSU last season, starting all of them. He averaged 16.3 points, 7.4 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.1 steals per contest.
