Pete Golding’s defense has had its ups and downs for Alabama this year, but the Tide have a chance to win a national title on Monday, so it has been more good than bad.
However, even while many speculate that Alabama head coach Nick Saban has mellowed out a bit, particularly this year, Golding isn’t buying it.
When asked if the number of “ass-chewings” has decreased for assistant coaches in 2021, Golding responded with a great line, saying “that’s absolutely not accurate”:
#Alabama DC Pete Golding was asked if Nick Saban has decreased the number of ass chewings this year: "That's absolutely not accurate."

Alabama beat Georgia 41-24 in the SEC Championship Game and controlled things from the very start.
If the defense doesn’t get off to a good start on Monday, we could see another patented Saban ass-chewing on the Alabama sidelines.
