Arkansas faces Gonzaga Thursday night to begin Sweet 16 play, and the Razorbacks have the longest betting line of any of the 4 matchups as it sits at 9.5.

Pat Bradley, an SEC Network analyst, made an appearance on “McElroy and Cubelic In the morning” on WJOX out of Birmingham, Alabama, to offer keys to victory for the Razorbacks. Bradley said early in SEC play, Arkansas excelled at attacking the paint, and shooting more free throws than any team in the country has been the Razorbacks’ calling card.

“Because they’ve had games where they didn’t shoot it well, and the last game they played, they only made a couple of 3s, but they got to the free throw line 25 times,” he said. “Sticking with that is going to be the key for them. Whether that is in transition off of a steal. Or just trying to open up the floor and attack, because that’s where the strengths are for the Hogs.”

That’s a good sign for Arkansas, because its built-in offense is an attack mode, and there will be games when you don’t shoot well, so the Razorbacks have a solid fall-back option.

“I feel like keeping the pressure on Gonzaga, because it’s very difficult to slow them down,” he said. “So you’re going to have to generate points, and for the Hogs, the way is aggressive, get to the rim, get a couple offensive rebounds, stick-backs. But really rely mostly on what they have, in the great SEC season that they have and that’s been getting to the basket and getting to the free throw line.”
