Tim Tebow and Jordan Rodgers took on a daunting task on the SEC Network on Monday at SEC Media Days from Atlanta.

How would they rank the top 5 quarterbacks in the SEC? The trouble is the league has a deep and talented group of QBs.

“You have so many guys that are so talented, and I don’t just mean in the NFL as a projection, but the chance of being elite in college football this year,” Tebow said.

Alabama’s Bryce Young was at the top of Tebow’s list.

“His poise has always been beyond his years, he’s so mature,” Tebow said. “… There’s nothing that flusters this kid. I think he’s going to have another amazing year. I think he’s going to have a run at possibly a Heisman and maybe another national championship.”

Tim Tebow’s top 5 quarterbacks in the SEC:

1. Bryce Young, Alabama
2. Will Levis, Kentucky
3. Anthony Richardson, Florida
4. Spencer Rattler, South Carolina
5. Hendon Hooker, Tennessee

About Levis, Tebow said, “He’s bigger than you think, he’s way more athletic than he gets credit for, he can absolutely sling it.”

About Richardson, Tebow said, “Maybe the most talented guy at any position in college football. Maybe.”

Tebow called Rattler, “very accurate and very poised. … I think when he plays confident, he plays elite.”

Tebow described Hooker as underrated from last season, and in Josh Heupel’s offense can put up some “crazy stats.”

Jordan Rodgers’ top 5 quarterbacks in the SEC:

1. Bryce Young, Alabama
2. Spencer Rattler, South Carolina
3. Hendon Hooker, Tennessee
4. K.J. Jefferson, Arkansas
5. Will Rogers, Mississippi State

Rodgers called the hate for Rattler is “egregious” and pointed out that the Gamecock QB has won his last 14 starts. For Hooker, Rodgers praised his focus and accuracy, along with his decision making.

For Jefferson, Rodgers pointed out that he led Arkansas in rushing even though the Razorbacks had 3 talented running backs.

For Rogers, Rodgers said no one is more accurate and noted that only 1 quarterback in the last 22 years has had a season in which he’s as accurate. It was Joe Burrow.
