Nick Saban is aware that Alabama will have a similar meeting as Saturday against Texas in the future when the Longhorns join the SEC.

So it was not a surprise to him that the Crimson Tide were in for a battle against the Longhorns, and a raucous crowd in Austin, Texas.

โ€œThis is like playing an SEC game on the road,” Saban said. “This kind of atmosphere, this kind of team that weโ€™re playing. That was a lot better team than people give them credit for. And theyโ€™re going to be in the SEC. If they were in the SEC right now, theyโ€™re probably in the top half of the league. This was a real test for us.โ€

Alabama will likely need someone like Bryce Young to continue making the kind of plays he made on Saturday. He helped the Crimson Tide escape Texas with 20-19 after he had a key 20-yard scramble to set up Will Reichardโ€™s 33-yard field goal with 10 seconds left.

Overall, Young was 27-for-39 passing for 213 yards and a touchdown, and also added 7 carries for 38 yards in the win.
