The College Football Playoff picture is all but finalized now as the 2022 regular season comes to a close.

It’s still not totally solidified, though, and the USC Trojans are among the teams who are not a lock but still have a chance to make it into the postseason mix. College football analyst Joel Klatt likes their odds too, after the Trojans defeated the UCLA Bruins, 48-45 on the road Saturday.

“That was an incredible CFB game last night,” Klatt tweeted. “@uscfb is going to the @CFBPlayoff if they win out…Also, if I had to vote today I would probably put Caleb Williams at the top of my Heisman ballot…Would be Lincoln Riley’s 3rd QB in 6 years as HC! Wow”

Klatt has the Trojans at No. 5 in his updated CFB rankings, behind a TCU team that narrowly beat the unranked Baylor Bears, 29-28 on Saturday.

It will be interesting to see how things shake out after the season finale depending on the outcome of the Trojans’ clash against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Saturday, Nov. 26 at 6:30 p.m. CT.
