Jalen Kitna is no longer part of the Florida football program, according to multiple reports, including Edgar Thompson of the Orlando Sentinal.

Kitna was released from Alachua County Jail on Thursday on an $80,000 bond after arrest for child pornography.

The University of Florida released a statement shortly after Kitna’s arrest on Wednesday, and said, “We are shocked and saddened to hear of the news involving Jalen Kitna. These are extremely serious charges and the University of Florida and the UAA have zero tolerance for such behavior. Jalen has been suspended indefinitely.”

Kitna is the son of former NFL QB Jon Kitna, and appeared in 4 games for the Gators in 2022. He completed 10 of his 14 passes for 181 yards and a touchdown. He was the backup quarterback to starter Anthony Richardson this season as the Gators finished the regular season with a 6-6 overall record.
