Ohio State comes in as a little bit of an underdog — as odd as that line alone sounds to say — to the Georgia Bulldogs — heading into the College Football Playoff semifinal as Kirby Smart’s team is projected to win it all a second consecutive time.

Former Buckeyes standout Ben Hartsock recently weighed in on Ohio State’s offensive strategy as it heads into the matchup with Georgia. Going up against a stout Georgia defensive line that has had much success and proven adaptable, he doesn’t see this team using a physical ground game.

Part of that is because they simply haven’t before and it’s not something that would appear to work in this instance.

“It’s going to be an aerial attack because it needs to be and because that’s what Ryan Day wants it to be. I don’t have many criticisms or critiques of Coach (Ryan) Day. You can sense, it’s like he runs the ball because he has to. He understands, I’ve got Heisman talent in my running backs room and I’ve got to get them the ball to give them the pipeline and get things going… but you can tell he would rather throw those screen routes and get the ball through the air and attack from that way.”

The two teams are set to face each other at 8 p.m. ET on Dec. 31.
