Alabama cornerback sent home just hours before CFP semifinal vs. Spartans

A key backup defender for the Crimson Tide won’t be playing in the College Football Playoff semifinal on Thursday.
Just a day before kickoff, Alabama sent sophomore cornerback Tony Brown home. The school was brief in detailing the decision, providing a one-sentence statement on Wednesday afternoon.
“We have made an internal decision to send Tony Brown home due to a violation of team rules,” it read.
No further explanation was given.
