If you’re a potential first-round NFL draft pick, it’s reasonable to understand why you’d want to sit out a bowl game that doesn’t lead to a chance to play for a national championship.

LSU running back Leonard Fournette, a potential top-five selection, opted to skip the Citrus Bowl in order to get a head start on recovering from a nagging ankle injury and prepare for April’s draft. Stanford all-purpose back Christian McCaffrey, who could go somewhere in the first 32 picks, won’t play in the Sun Bowl.

But when asked about his thoughts on the controversial debate, Alabama linebacker Ryan Anderson — a fringe first-rounder in some projections — had a witty response, as seen in the video above.

Biscuit Bowl? Crawfish Bowl? Write these down for the future, bowl committee.
