Brian Robinson Jr. had to wait his turn in a crowded Alabama running back room, watching the likes of Najee Harris ply their trade over the past few seasons.

With Robinson the No. 1 running back in 2021, he showed why he was worth the wait as he broke the 1,000-yard mark and ran for 14 touchdowns. But he saved his best performance for the College Football Playoff semifinal against Cincinnati as he turned in a career day, torching the Bearcats for 204 yards on 26 carries.

At halftime, Robinson had 134 rushing yards. Cincinnati’s offense alone had 77. His 204 yards were more than any other team had gained against the Bearcats defense all season, except for 1.

The 5th-year senior will look to end his season with a 2nd straight national championship, and 3rd overall, as the Tide have punched their ticket to Jan. 10’s national championship game against either Georgia or Michigan.
