Bryce Young led Alabama on its latest scoring drive, and one that might be the difference in the Cotton Bowl. He capped it with 9-yard touchdown pass to Cameron Latu on second down with 13:52 left in the fourth quarter.

The scoring drive was aided by an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on Cincinnati, which pushed the ball half the distance to the goal line for Alabama. It proved to be a 14-yard penalty. The Latu catch capped a 9-play scoring drive that went 70 yards in 4:02.

That meant Young was 17-for-27 passing for 181 yards and 3 touchdowns in the game, and a knockout punch for Cincinnati as Alabama took a 24-6 lead. It was Latu’s first catch of the game on his first target.
