Butch Jones was fired by Tennessee toward the end of the 2017 regular season.

Since he left Knoxville, he’s spent the past 3 seasons with the Alabama Crimson Tide as an assistant to Nick Saban. Recently, though, he landed the Arkansas State head coaching job.

As you can see below, Jones got emotional when he thanked Saban and his wife, Miss Terry, for all they’ve done for his career:

“The biggest thank yous, and I’m going to get emotional, is Coach Saban and his wife, Miss Terry,” Jones said. “And really to the entire Alabama football family.”

How will Jones fare in Jonesboro? We’ll find out soon enough, but he likely learned a ton from Saban these past 3 years.
