CFB head coach says Florida State is better than recent Alabama squad he faced
Southern Miss and Florida State will be meeting on the gridiron this Saturday. Ahead of the action, Southern Miss head coach Will Hall previewed the game.
Hall has been with the Golden Eagles since 2020. He coached his team against Alabama in 2021. The Crimson Tide won the game 63-14 en route to an appearance in the College Football Playoff National Championship.
While Hall admitted Alabama was great that year, he stated that this year’s Florida State team is a little better.
“We play a tremendous opponent this week. I know yall are probably gonna ask me about them. They are probably the best team I’ve ever coached against. I played Alabama in 2021, and they played for a national title. I think this team’s a little better than them. Bama was starting a true freshman quarterback at the time and he was really good. It’s gonna be a great challenge for us and a tremendous opportunity.”
