Christian Barmore only had 1 tackle on Sunday in the New England Patriots’ win over the Carolina Panthers, but he contributed plenty for his coach and teammates to sit up and notice.
“I gotta give that kid a lot of credit,” coach Bill Belichick said, per Mike Reiss. “He comes in early. Stays late. Works on his flexibility. His strength. His technique. He’s really applied himself. He’s done better and better every week.”
The former Alabama defensive lineman also drew praise from LB Matthew Judon.
“The guy has a motor,” Judon said, per Alex Barth. “He works.”
By all indications, Barmore appears to have a great rookie season after he was drafted in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft with the No. 38 overall pick.
