Late in the fourth quarter of Saturday’s 24-7 Alabama win, disaster struck for Florida State as star QB Deondre Francois went down with what appeared to be a significant knee injury.

The injury occurred when Alabama S Ronnie Harrison raced around the FSU offensive line and made a diving tackle into the back of Francois’s knees.

After the game, Harrison took to Twitter to wish Francois the best and say the hit, which many thought looked dirty, was not intentional:

Harrison had five tackles in Alabama’s 24-7 season-opening win, but none had the impact that his fourth-quarter sack did.

Now, the Seminoles will anxiously await the results of tests on Francois’s knee, hoping their star quarterback won’t miss too much time.
