Ishmael Sopsher, who left Alabama for Southern Cal, about a year ago, is on the move again.
Sopsher, who came out of Amite High School in Louisiana as the No. 3 Louisiana recruit, No. 5 defensive tackle and No. 47 prospect overall nationally on the 247Sports Composite, is in the transfer portal again, according to Matt Zenitz of On3 Sports. That high ranking came with 22 scholarship offers but did not translate to playing time in Tuscaloosa.
Sopsher appears to be headed for his fourth college program, after he last transferred to Southeastern Louisiana.

At Southern Cal, he was expected to compete for playing time on the defensive line, but missed the 2021 spring practice with a leg injury.
At Alabama, Sopsher spent the 2019 and 2020 seasons as a defensive lineman, and appeared in 1 game as a 2019 freshman before he redshirted. He did not see action in 2020 as a redshirt freshman. He made the 2020 SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll.
Listed at 6-foot-4 and 330 pounds, Sopsher appears to have plenty of potential to contribute to a program once he can find his next destination.
