Alabama has another very dangerous running back in the fold for 2022. This time, it’s newcomer Jahmyr Gibbs who joined the Crimson Tide via transfer after the 2021 season.

Gibbs started his career at Georgia Tech as a 4-star prospect via the 2020 recruiting class. He was immediately dynamic for the Yellow Jackets and entered the portal after last season.

During Saturday’s A-Day, Gibbs showed a glimpse of what he brings to the Tide. He took a short handoff and made one cut in the hole before outrunning the defense all the way for a huge touchdown.

Take a look:

Gibbs’ speed is the real deal and he looks bound to find some playing time right out of the gate. Whether as a rusher or pass-catcher, Gibbs should fit right at home in the offense alongside QB Bryce Young.

Over two seasons at Georiga Tech, Gibbs posted over 1,200 yards rushing and over 750 yards receiving with 13 offensive touchdowns. He also averaged 25.6 yards per return on kickoffs and returned one for a touchdown.
