Jordan Davis signed to go to Alabama on Dec. 20, 2017, but it didn’t work out. Academics got in the way of the 4-star defensive end out of Memphis being a part of the Crimson Tide’s 2018 freshman class.

Currently at Copiah-Lincoln Community College, Davis had a big announcement to make Saturday: he has re-committed to Alabama.

Davis shared the news on Twitter.

“For One I would Like to Thank God for putting me in the situation I’m in. This commitment will have a lot of people thinking different. But I’ve been talking too God and I have something to Prove. So I would like too announce that I’m “Re-Committing to university of Alabama,” Davis wrote in his tweet. With the commitment presumably for 2019, Davis makes pledge No. 22 in Alabama’s class.

For the 2018 class, Davis was rated the No. 2 recruit out of Tennessee, No. 6 weak-side defensive end and No. 108 prospect overall nationally on the 247Sports Composite. He has not been given a class of 2019 rating, but there are highlights of Davis’ JUCO play posted on Hudl.
