Julian Sayin, a 5-star quarterback out of Carlsbad, California, has announced a commitment to play in the SEC.

Sayin chose Alabama over finalists Georgia and LSU in an announcement on ESPN2. Sayin is rated the No. 15 player nationally in the 247Sports Composite and No. 13 in the Top247. He’s also the top rated recruit in the state in the 2024 class. Sayin was recruited to Alabama by Holmon Wiggins and Bill O’Brien. Sayin is listed at 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds. He has a reported 24 offers.

Before the announcement, Sayin noted that he had a great visit to Alabama, and he loves how Alabama develops quarterbacks and Nick Saban runs the program.

“I know he’s tough but I like that,” he told 247Sports. “I want to be coached hard and go somewhere that I know I’ll get better and Bama has a proved track record of that.”

ESPN recruiting analyst Tom Luginbill called Sayin a “riverboat gambler, and I love that about him.”
