Less than two weeks removed from Alabama’s dominant 55-17 win over LSU in Tiger Stadium, the Crimson Tide just beat the Tigers once again.

This time, Nick Saban’s program beat Ed Orgeron’s program on the recruiting trail as longtime LSU commit Keanu Koht of Vero Beach, Fla., has flipped his commitment to the Crimson Tide during the first day of the Early Signing Period.

He announced his decision during a signing ceremony at his high school on Wednesday morning.

Koht, a 6-foot-4, 215-pound Vero Beach High School standout, had been committed to LSU since July. 247Sports Composite Rankings rate Koht as a four-star prospect, the No. 12 weakside defensive end and a top 200 overall prospect in the 2021 recruiting cycle.

The Vero Beach High School defensive end was also been selected to play All-American Bowl before that game was canceled.

Koht’s pledge to join Alabama’s recruiting class gives the Crimson Tide commitments from the top two overall pass rusher prospects from the state of Florida, as Koht is set to join four-star Dallas Turner in Tuscaloosa.
