When you think of words to describe Alabama coach Nick Saban, “funny” isn’t usually among the first dozen or so words that come to mind.

However, according to former Alabama (and current Dallas Cowboys) WR Amari Cooper, Saban does have some comedic chops.

During an appearance on “The Dan Patrick Show” on Monday, Cooper was asked to compare Saban to Cowboys coach Jason Garrett in terms of funniness. As you can see below, he said Garrett has some natural funniness to him, whereas Saban has some great jokes to tell:

“Coach Saban, that’s a really underrated trait of his,” Cooper said. “He’s actually a really funny guy. He has these jokes that he intentionally tells and they’re all pretty funny. Coach Garrett doesn’t really tell jokes, but Saban does.”

We may not see Saban’s sense of humor when it comes to meeting with the media and being on the sidelines, but behind closed doors, many of his players say he is indeed a funny guy.
