LOOK: Fans, media react on Twitter to Alabama hiring Buffalo's Nate Oats
Alabama wasted no time finding a replacement for Avery Johnson, as AD Greg Byrne announced on Wednesday that the school had hired Nate Oats away from Buffalo.
Oats had just signed an extension with the Bulls, but when the Tide came calling with what is sure to be a much larger salary, he couldn’t say no.
Overall, reactions from the Alabama fanbase were pretty positive. However, many Buffalo fans took to Twitter to call Oats a traitor for signing an extension and then leaving right away.
Here are some of the reactions from around the college basketball world after the Crimson Tide landed their new basketball coach:
We will see what kind of recruiter Nate Oats is. 3 players that he will have to convince to stay.

Pretty excited for @nate_oats as the new Tide basketball coach. This team is going to be able to fill it up. He also gives players blue collar points every game and the winner gets a construction helmet. How can you not like the guy
