LOOK: Jalen Hurts shows off new haircut ahead of start of summer practices

Last season, Alabama QB Jalen Hurts had long hair that spilled out of the back of his helmet, which he would often tie back for games.
This season, though, he won’t have that problem, as he hit the barbershop and has a drastic new look.
As you can see in the photos below, the long locks of hair are gone, in favor of a closer-cropped style:

Was all that hair slowing him down last year? Of course not, but clearly Hurts has decided to switch things up a bit heading into the 2018 season.
One thing is for sure — the new look will keep his head a lot cooler than his old look.
