Mac Jones just led the New England Patriots to the playoffs as a rookie out of Alabama. And, it wasn’t his fault the Patriots literally couldn’t keep the Bills from scoring touchdowns in the 47-17 wild card round loss.
Even after that solid season, there are some questions about whether Jones is the long-term answer in New England.
On the “Dan Patrick Show” on Monday, Patriots insider Tom Curran said he’s not sure Jones is the guy to lead the Patriots to a high level of success in the next few years:

“They have a quarterback. I don’t know if he’s the quarterback,” Curran said. “He will be the quarterback for 5 years, certainly. They’re going to have to figure a way to build around him. … Mac Jones isn’t very mobile and he’s challenged in terms of arm strength compared to the rest of the league.”
As Curran said, the Patriots have Jones for a few more years. Can the former Crimson Tide star continue to prove Curran and his other doubters wrong?
