On Sunday morning, Alabama redshirt freshman OL Hunter Brannon was arrested for suspicion of DUI following the Crimson Tide’s win at Tennessee.

On Sunday afternoon, more details emerged surrounding the incident, and it doesn’t look good for Brannon.

According to TuscaloosaNews.com, Brannon was doing donuts in the road and hit another vehicle. He then proceeded to leave the scene of the accident:

TPD officers were called to the crash near Arby’s on University Boulevard, said department spokeswoman Lt. Teena Richardson.

The victim, 19, told officers that the driver of a white Chevrolet Silverado was “doing donuts” in the roadway before striking his vehicle, she said.

“The suspect asked the victim not to contact the police, then left the scene,” she said.

The victim provided police with the tag number, she said. Officers stopped Brannon around Hackberry Lane and Bryant Drive. He received minor injuries, but refused medical treatment.

Coach Nick Saban released a statement earlier on Sunday morning, and he’ll probably address it further at some point this week now that more information has come out.

Brannon has yet to play for the Tide this year after redshirting last year. He was a 3-star recruit in the 2017 class.
