Great news for Nate Oats’ Alabama basketball program as rising senior guard John Petty Jr. has made his final decision when it comes to the upcoming NBA Draft.

Cecil Hurt of the Tuscaloosa News was the first to report the news of Petty’s decision. Petty has made the decision to return for one final season in Tuscaloosa after exploring his draft options.

Petty appeared in 29 games for the Crimson Tide last season, averaging 14.5 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. For his career, Petty has appeared in 99 total games for Alabama during his three seasons on campus.

Petty also currently holds the record for most three-point baskets made in a single game in Alabama history as he hit 10 against Alabama A&M back in 2017. His 90 three-point baskets that season are also a school record.
