NFL insider Albert Breer was at Tampa Bay Buccaneers camp this week to check out a team many expect to win the NFC South and perhaps make a deep playoff run.

One reason for optimism? The addition of former Alabama star WR Julio Jones to an already star-studded receiving corps.

How’s the former Crimson Tide standout, who has also played for the Atlanta Falcons and Tennessee Titans in his NFL career, faring with Tom Brady and the Bucs so far? Breer said Jones has had his workload carefully managed, but “is playing fast” and “looks smooth.” He added that the chemistry between Brady and Jones is obvious:

Jones had 31 catches for 434 yards and 1 touchdown in his lone season with the Titans in 2021.

He’ll look to improve on those numbers in 2022. If he can stay healthy, he should be able to surpass that production with an all-time great in Tom Brady throwing him the ball.
