Nick Saban and Bill Belichick are expected to be out of coaching next season for the first time in decades. So there’s increasing momentum for the legendary coaches to team up for a television show similar to the popular “ManningCast.”

Long-time NFL writer Peter King wrote Monday that he agreed with an earlier statement from NFL Network’s Rich Eisen about the idea.

“Find a network to stream it on—maybe on a CBS, Fox or NBC streaming service, or maybe as another stream for the Thursday night Amazon Prime game,” King wrote.

King added that it could be a sort of reputation cleanser for Belichick.

“Belichick, if he wants to coach in 2025 at age 73—and if someone will have him—could use a little image rehab,” King wrote in Football Morning in America. “America, and NFL owners, know him as dour, sour and imperious, not great traits in modern-day coaching, particularly with a 29-39 record in his last four seasons as coach.”

Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports reported that Belichick is popular with TV people.

“Every network would want him,” one media agent told Jones. “He would revolutionize media with the way he prepares.”

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk explained it this way: “I think he’s going to end up in TV. Remember how great he was on on the NFL’s 100 all-time team with Rich Eisen and Cris Collinsworth. I could see him joining NFL Network, working there for a year, and then see what happens in the 2025 hiring cycle.”

Even broadcaster Dan Le Batard chimed in and said, “You have to get them right now. The game evolves so fast that (Tony) Romo can no longer predict the plays, but Belichick still can.”
