Nick Saban’s never been one to shy away from speaking his mind and when it comes to Alabama’s fan base, there’s a small group he tries to ignore.
Saban, who will appear as the featured guest tonight on Dave Feherty’s show on the Golf Channel at 9 p.m. EST., says there’s a portion of Crimson Tide fans who have unrealistic expectations and are disrespectful toward the team.
The interview was taped during the preseason and features an inside-look at Alabama’s coach off the field.

“I just think that in every sport, there’s about 20 percent bad fans. They don’t get it. They’re disrespectful. They do things and say things that don’t really need to be said; that aren’t helpful; that don’t reflect the image of what college football is all about, or even what sports is all about. You should appreciate the competition.”
